NexGen Book Publishing Refund Policy & Terms

1. General Policy
NexGen Publishing Hub offers refunds and project cancellations under the commercial terms outlined below. Please note that mandatory consumer cancellation and refund rights under applicable law take precedence over these commercial restrictions. No fee or limitation in this policy overrides your statutory rights regarding defective services.
2. Pre-Project Cancellation
If you cancel before any work begins, we will refund your payment less a 5% administrative and payment-processing fee, WHERE PERMITTED BY LAW. For instance, a $1,000 payment would result in a $950 refund. This fee does not apply where statutory law requires a full refund without deductions.
3. Cancellation During Production
If you cancel during production, a partial refund may be available for unfinished work, subject to the component restrictions below. We will provide a written breakdown of services performed and the refund calculation. The editorial portion becomes non-refundable once manuscript reading or editing begins. The design portion becomes non-refundable once initial concepts or illustrations have been created. Mandatory consumer cancellation, refund, and non-performance rights take precedence over these commercial restrictions.
4. Delivered & Approved Projects
Once final files—such as edited manuscripts, approved covers, or launched marketing campaigns—are delivered, no refunds are issued for a change of mind. While we provide approval stages to ensure satisfaction, this commercial policy does not limit your legal rights as a consumer regarding performance failures or remedies for defective service.
5. Third-Party Platform Rejections
A platform rejection caused by the author's content-policy violations or pre-existing account restrictions is not, by itself, a basis for a refund of correctly performed services. This does not limit applicable consumer rights or our responsibility for services we agreed to provide.
6. Sales & Marketing Performance
NexGen utilizes professional industry practices for SEO and advertising; however, we do not guarantee specific sales volumes, reviews, rankings, or bestseller status. Book performance depends on market trends and reader demand beyond our control. The absence of specific sales or marketing outcomes is not a valid basis for a refund claim.
7. Installment Plans & Third-Party Financing
If you utilize third-party financing (such as Affirm or Klarna), your financial agreement is with that provider. NexGen cannot modify those terms. Approved refunds will be issued to the original payment method through our gateway and will be subject to the financing provider’s specific reversal terms. We are not responsible for interest or fees charged by your lender.
8. How to Request a Cancellation
All cancellation requests must be submitted in writing to your assigned project manager or emailed directly to info@nexgenpublishinghub.com. We will confirm receipt in writing and provide the necessary breakdown and next steps regarding any applicable refund as per the terms of this policy.
