NexGen Book Publishing Refund Policy & Terms

1. General Policy

Due to the digital and highly customized nature of our services, we do not offer "change of mind" refunds once a project is fully underway. When you purchase a package, we immediately reserve time on our production calendar and assign project managers, editors, and designers to your manuscript.

2. Pre-Project Cancellation

If you place an order but decide to cancel before any work has commenced (i.e., before you have submitted your manuscript, completed the onboarding process, or before our team has begun review/design), you are eligible for a full refund, minus a 5% administrative and payment processing fee.

3. Cancellation During Production

If you choose to cancel your project after work has commenced but before the final files are delivered, any potential refund will be strictly prorated based on the amount of work already completed.

  • Once an editor has begun reading/editing your manuscript, the editorial portion of your package is non-refundable.

  • Once a designer has created initial cover concepts or illustrations, the design portion of your package is non-refundable.

  • We reserve the right to evaluate the progress of your project to determine if any prorated refund is applicable.

4. Delivered & Approved Projects

Once final files (edited manuscripts, formatted interior PDFs, cover art, audiobooks, etc.) have been delivered to you or uploaded to publishing platforms on your behalf, no refunds will be issued. We provide multiple review and approval stages during the production process to ensure you are completely satisfied with the work before it is finalized.

5. Third-Party Platform Rejections

We format and prepare your files to meet the strict technical standards of major platforms like Amazon KDP, IngramSpark, and Apple Books. However, we do not issue refunds if a third-party platform rejects your book or suspends your account due to:

  • Violations of their content guidelines (e.g., heavily plagiarized content, undisclosed AI-generated content, or offensive material submitted by the author).

  • Issues related to the author's prior account bans or preexisting violations on those platforms.

6. Sales & Marketing Performance

We utilize industry best practices for our marketing campaigns, Amazon SEO, and ad management setups. However, book sales are ultimately determined by reader demand, market trends, and ongoing author engagement. We do not guarantee specific sales figures, royalties, or bestseller status, and lack of book sales is not a valid basis for a refund.

7. Installment Plans & Third-Party Financing

If you used a "Buy Now, Pay Later" service (such as Klarna, Affirm, or Afterpay) at checkout, your financial agreement is with that third-party provider. NexGen Publishing Hub cannot cancel or modify your installment agreement. Any authorized refunds from us will be processed back to the original payment method through our payment gateway, which will then reflect on your installment plan according to the provider's terms.

To request a cancellation, please contact your dedicated project manager directly or reach out to our support team. All cancellation requests must be made in writing.
